Heavy Duty Storage Racking
Choosing the Right Heavy Duty Storage Racking
Measure your space and the items you need to store before comparing units.
Dimensions and Shelf Spacing
Check overall height, width and depth as well as usable shelf space. Allow room for access, walkways and loading. Compare adjustable level positions with the height of your boxes or equipment.
Understanding UDL
UDL means uniformly distributed load: weight is spread evenly across the shelf. A per-shelf rating is not a point-load rating or an automatic statement of the complete unit’s capacity.
Materials and Assembly
Check shelf materials and suitability for the storage environment. Assemble on a suitable level surface and follow all bracing and securing instructions. Place heavier items lower down.
Extra Levels and Bundles
Match additions to the exact frame model. Extra shelves do not increase the total permitted load. Check whether a listing supplies a full unit, multiple bays or additional levels only.
