Check the printing method and the manufacturer’s intended environment. Thermal receipt printers and impact kitchen printers use different consumables; suitability for a kitchen depends on the individual model.

Software and Connections

Confirm that your exact software supports the printer and interface. USB, Ethernet, serial, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi versions are not interchangeable simply because their model names look similar.

Paper, Cutters and Space

Check paper width, maximum roll diameter and whether an automatic cutter is included. Allow space to open the cover, reload paper and route cables without obstructing the counter.
